Copyleaks Inc. is a cloud platform for detecting plagiarism, copyright infringement, and content leaks using advanced AI[1] and natural language processing (NLP) technology.[2][3]

Overview

Copyleaks is an anti-plagiarism software[2] used by BBC, Medium, UNICEF, Rakuten, CISCO, Stanford University.[4] It uses military-grade 256-bit encryption[5] and SSL connection.[4] Headquartered in Stamford, CT, Copyleaks offers SDKs in seven programming languages (C#, Java, Python, NodeJs, PHP, Ruby, and Swift) to make API integrations efficient. It checks text for plagiarism in 100+ languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, and Hindi.[4][6][7]

History

Copyleaks was founded in 2015[3] by Alon Yamin[8] and Yehonatan Bitton.[9][10] The foudners served as software developers in the Israel defense forces intelligence unit.[11][9] In 2018, Copyleaks raised $1.1 million in a seed funding.[11][12] It partnered with SEMrush to provide plagiarism detection within the new SEO Writing Assistant. In 2019, Copyleaks became partners with Macmillan Learning. In October 2020, it announced a partnership with Canvas.[13]
