Claire Adam is an author whose first novel Golden Child triggered critical acclaim.[1][2][3]

On November 5, 2019, the BBC News listed Golden Child on its list of the 100 most influential novels.[2]

The novel earned Adam the Desmond Elliot Prize and the McKitterick Prize.[4]
