Christianity is a monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, who is the focal point of the religion. Christians believe in one God, who created the world and all that exists in it. Christians also believe that Jesus is the Messiah or Son of God, who came to Earth to die for humanity's sins and to rise from the dead.

Jesus Christ is considered the "Prince of Peace" and is believed to be coming back again to judge the living and the dead. Christianity teaches that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone. All people are sinners, but they can be saved through repentance and forgiveness found in Jesus Christ.
