Chaz Ferris
Biography
Chaz Ferris was born in Pensacola and started playing soccer and basketball at the age of 5. When Chaz was very young, he prioritized basketball due to his height over everyone else and ended up training for a high school team when he was around eight years old. Soccer was always his love, though, so around nine he began with Met Oval Academy in New York, where he fully committed to the worldly sport, and from there it was the sky's the limit. From Met Oval, he was recruited to play for the Development Academy at World Class FC, where he took leaps in his skillset, playing against the best of the best in his age group in the country. From World Class, he went to TSF Academy, to help them reach national status, and for 1 and a half years, the club went on to be the #8 team in the country. After this achievement, Chaz was obsessed with challenges and went on to Europe to truly challenge himself. From here he was at FC Malaga City Academy, with Celta Vigo Legend Catanha Guedes, Rocella Jonica in Italy, historic German club FSV Salmrohr, NK Dobrovce in Slovenian Treta Liga, and most recently Pont Donnaz, in Serie D.
Early Life and Education
Chaz Ferris grew up with a younger brother, Tyler Ferris, and a single mother. They faced challenges early in life, as finances were tight, sports were demanding, and school was strenuous. Essentially, there was only so much time for their mom. His aunts, uncles, grandmothers, and grandfathers played a crucial role in his growth. His uncles, Director Brett Haley and Author Joshua Ferris, along with Author Aunt Eliza Kennedy, are significant parts of his life. His mother made a risky move from Florida to New York when he was 9. Everyone thought this was a ludicrous decision, but looking back, the move was quintessential to Chaz and his brother Tyler's life and success. Chaz dedicates almost everything to his mom.
