He graduated from the École Centrale de Lyon with a Grande Ecole degree in Engineering.[2]

Career

Charles Brecque started his career at Mind Foundry, a spin-out from the University of Oxford. He brought Machine Learning solutions to market for three years. Charles is the Founder & CEO of Legislate, he founded the company in April 2020 in Oxford, Legislate Technologies Limited is a legal technology company founded in Oxford which makes contract data usable and searchable at scale using patented knowledge graph technology. Legislate is used by businesses in property and employment to safely create, manage and search lawyer-approved contracts on no legal budget. He is also a board director at Downforce Technologies, a company whose mission is to be the most trusted and scalable global data services company in the measurement, monitoring, and evaluation of natural capital assets.[3] He is the host of the Legislate podcast which interviews founders, entrepreneurs, and legal professionals in Business and Property. The episodes touch on guests’ backgrounds and what they have learned about contracts throughout their careers. He has written a short helpful book titled how to launch your entrepreneurial career using safety nets.

As of January 18th, 2024, his company Legislate officially known as TextMine.
