Cansın Ertekin was born on June 30, 2001, in the Maltepe district of Istanbul. Within a few years, his family moved to the Manavgat district of Antalya, where he spent his childhood.

After attending Başarı College for part of his elementary and middle school education, Ertekin completed his middle school studies at Bahçeşehir College and continued his high school education at Bahçeşehir Anatolian High School. During high school, he developed an interest in robotics and joined the school team. Working alongside his teammate Ulaş Demirel, they built and programmed robots for the First Lego League competition, contributing significantly to the team's progress, which won an award in its second year. However, due to age restrictions, he could not participate in the following year, leading him to distance himself from his beloved field of robotics.

Ertekin began video editing at the age of 15, starting with editing videos recorded on his phone, a gift from his father. His passion for this craft grew as he constantly learned new techniques, improving his skills in both shooting and editing videos. His enthusiasm led him to learn drone operation through online tutorials, and with his family's support, who gifted him a drone, he started aerial filming. As he advanced in drone filming, his family supported him further by gifting him a camera. He mastered the camera over time, learning various shooting techniques. During his high school years, his deep involvement in these activities led him to work with agencies, hotels, and real estate agents, which unfortunately caused him to neglect his studies. He handled all aspects of his projects during high school, including drone and indoor shoots and video editing.

Even during the university entrance exam year, Ertekin did not step back from his work, managing to balance his studies and professional projects. He secured admission to Bahçeşehir University with an 80% scholarship, combining the "Apply BAU" scholarship and a transition scholarship from Bahçeşehir High School. (The Apply BAU system awards scholarships based on students' projects and future plans, rather than academic grades.) After spending a year in the Cinema and Television department, he transferred to the New Media department.

At 18, Ertekin founded "Gitmelisin," partnering with over 70 businesses across five provinces to offer discounts to Gitmelisin users. However, due to trademark issues and the closures of businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Gitmelisin project ended in 2021. The pandemic brought Ertekin back to Manavgat, where he spent nearly two years offering online video editing services, completing hundreds of projects, primarily for international clients. During winters, he provided video editing services online, while in summers, he collaborated with real estate agents and hotels.

On September 10, 2020, following a message from Umut Selbaş and a subsequent meeting, they decided to start the "Jobsangel" project, which was launched to users on February 23, 2021, and received unexpectedly high interest. Following the introduction of a paid membership model for Jobsangel, Ertekin and Selbaş founded their first joint company on May 18, 2021. As Jobsangel became fully automated, they ventured into importing products from abroad and selling them in domestic markets through their online store, "Shopsangel."

Ertekin, who dreamed of creating a hat brand since his childhood, realized this dream at the end of 2021 with the revenues from his business ventures. He launched "Gullianit," selling hats online. After repeated attempts over two years, he successfully registered the "Gitmelisin" trademark in 2022, when he turned 20.

While continuing his education in the New Media department at Bahçeşehir University in 2022, Ertekin also enrolled in the Advanced Television Editing program at Nişantaşı University's Acun Media Academy. With Jobsangel and Shopsangel running smoothly and automatically, Ertekin and Selbaş had more free time and decided to start a new project, "GoMekan," a mobile app/website aimed at providing users with special discounts through partnerships with businesses to ease their financial burdens. Eight months after its launch, GoMekan expanded to the Istanbul market, helping hundreds of people save money. It continues to grow in Istanbul, constantly working on developments to ease its users' financial burdens.

Ertekin is an avid traveler, having attended a language camp in Canada and participated in cultural trips to the United States, Russia, Switzerland, Italy, France, Greece, Poland, and Morocco.
