About Beth Blundy

Beth Blundy, a Republican candidate for Solicitor and a proven conservative prosecutor, is a distinguished professional with a formidable educational background and an impressive track record in the field of law. A graduate of the highly selective Hillsdale College, one of the top-ranked conservative schools in the country, Beth's journey through academia was marked by her unwavering commitment to defending liberty and pursuing justice.

While at Hillsdale College, Beth's dedication to her studies was evident as she navigated the rigorous academic environment with determination. She emerged from this institution well-versed in the Constitution and our nation's foundational principles, igniting a passion within her to further her legal education.

Beth continued her pursuit of knowledge at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, located in the heart of Michigan's capital. There, she specialized in litigation and immersed herself in the intricacies of trial advocacy and practical courtroom skills. Her exceptional dedication and intellectual prowess led to her graduation with honors, cum laude.

Beth is married to Dr. Eric Blundy, and they are blessed with twins, Samuel and Eliana. They are active members of NewSpring Church. Eric and Beth moved to the Upstate for a better quality of life and realize how fortunate they are to have their kids growing up in a safe environment. Beth wants this reality for all families and plans to make and keep the Upstate that way. They have started a family business and give back to the community.

In 2010, Beth embarked on a role with the 10th Circuit Solicitor's Office, where she confronted the pressing issues of DUI and domestic violence that plagued South Carolina. It was a pivotal moment in her career, and she rapidly demonstrated her value by significantly reducing crime rates in both areas through effective and relentless prosecutions. Beth's immediate impact in the courtroom continued over the course of her career, and she has successfully tried hundreds of cases, with an impressive record of victories that vastly outnumber her few losses—a testament to her legal acumen.

Beth's career continued to flourish, earning her promotions that saw her handling a wide spectrum of cases, from misdemeanors to felonies. She currently serves as a Senior Assistant Solicitor. Her remarkable ability to multitask allowed her to manage heavy caseloads, at times reaching between 500-700 cases simultaneously. Yet, she never cut corners, always ensuring that every victim received the attention and results they deserved.

Beth's exposure to diverse types of cases has been extensive. Her assignments have ranged from handling drug trafficking, kidnapping, domestic violence, armed robbery, attempted murder, burglary, DUI with death, and more. She has proved her mettle in the courtroom time and again, exhibiting her dedication to upholding the law and delivering justice.

Beth is known for seeking and getting tough sentences on criminals and being a dedicated advocate for victims. She believes violent criminals and repeat offenders threaten the very fabric of our society and is working against national efforts pushing for decarceration and calls to defund the police.

As Solicitor, Beth will continue to support law enforcement and work alongside them to keep crime low and make our community safer. Additionally, she will work to alleviate the burden on the justice system by directing those with drug addiction and mental health conditions into Drug and Mental Health Courts to help them become productive members of society. Beth believes in remembering the sacrifices made by our heroes and plans to implement a Veteran’s court to address the specific needs of those who have served our nation.

Beth Blundy is not only an accomplished attorney with a stellar legal record but also a passionate advocate for justice and the betterment of her community and society as a whole. Her career is a testament to her unwavering dedication to upholding the law and making a positive impact on the lives of those she serves.
