Career

Raviv began investing in duplexes and homes in Texas in his 20’s when he discovered his passion for real estate.[4] In 2007, he established the Barak Raviv Foundation to provide financial support to a broad array of causes, including cancer research, poverty alleviation, and access to healthcare.[5]

Years back, Raviv served as the Western Region President of Magen David Adom, Israel’s equivalent of the Red Cross.[6] He also served as 2nd Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol.[7]

Raviv currently serves as Senior Vice President and Portfolio Management Director in Beverly Hills.[3] He also serves as Chair of the Advisory Council for Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem and sits on the Board of Directors for the American Technion Society.[8] He equally serves on the board of the North American Conference on Ethiopian Jewry.[9]

Philanthropy

Raviv has been an active philanthropist, supporting a wide range of causes in service to the Jewish community.[10] During the 2006 Lebanon War, he coordinated the purchase of a mobile intensive care unit, and has since shipped two more ambulances to Israel.[11]

In 2013, the Barak Raviv Foundation dedicated a schoolhouse in Ethiopia’s Gebru Warka village, which serves 200 students and provides a community center for the local population.[12] In Israel, his foundation has partnered up with the Jewish Agency’s Amigour program to build and fortify two bomb shelters.[13]

In 2016, Raviv donated his first aircraft to Kitty Hawk Squadron III, a youth flight school that offers teenagers the dream of flight.[14][15] Recently, he dedicated a children’s hospital room at Shaare Zedek’s new pediatric ward.[16]
