Backfire is a fictional character from the Starriors series in 1984. He is a member of the Destructors.

Starriors

Backfire is an unlucky Destructor Rammor. His fellow Destructors refuse to let him have laser weapons for fear of the damage he would do to them.

Destructors are programmed to destroy mutants and invading aliens. Rammors are scouting specialists.
