Ba Wang Long is a third party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Grimlock. He combined with his team members to form a giant robot.
The name Ba Wang Long is Chinese for Tyrannosaurus Rex. It can also be interperted as "the king dragon".
Other third party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Grimlock include Keith's Fantasy Club King Rex.
Development
Renders of the TFC Toys dinosaur combiner toys were posted to ACtoys message board in June 2011.[1]
Prototype images of the Star Rescue teams posted to the ACToys message board in September 2011.[2]
Additional prototype images were posted in October 2011.[3][4]
Color toy images were posted online in November 2011.[5]
The Star Rescue Team dinosaur combiner was released in May 2014.
Reception
The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for October 31st, 2011 discussed prptotype images of the TFC toys dinosaurs in the news.[6]
