Andy Ta Kong
Andy Ta Kong, also known as Andy Kong, is an Asian-American Tech Entrepreneur and Web Developer. As a serial entrepreneur, he co-founded multi-million dollar startups Project Wifi and Alqen.io. Andy is currently the co-founder and CTO of BlackWater, a crypto mining data center offering Mining-as-a-Service. He is also very well-versed in designing & developing complex systems and loves to build highly secure, reliable, and scalable web applications.
Early Life
On September 6, 2000, Andy was born in South Carolina, USA. At a young age, Andy developed a hard work ethic and a passion for entrepreneurship by helping his parents run the family’s restaurant. Part of his early experience in operation management and technical troubleshooting.
Career
In 8th grade, Andy started his programming journey as a freelancer for his family shops and small business and ventured, which gave him the head start to play in the real world. He has extensive experience in Python due to his passion for automation. Andy has always been an entrepreneur at heart and loves learning new technologies – the reason why he became curious about internet ventures and started a Minecraft Hosting Company at the age of 14. Andy later sold his hosting business to an Australian company called Shockbyte.
In 2019, Andy co-founded Project WiFi with his colleagues, which is an eCommerce management firm specializing in fully comprehensive (A-Z) services by selling on Amazon, Walmart, and Facebook on behalf of clients. Project WiFi is scaled to seven (7) figures company, and now the company has 200+ employees operating in the USA and the Philippines. Andy also founded Alqen.io, an AI-based drop shipping software whose mission is to simplify the sellers' tedious day-to-day operations. Besides as a co-founder, Andy is also leading the engineering team of Alqen.io and working with modern technology like AWS to ensure high scalability, maintainability, and availability of the system.
In 2021, Andy co-founded BlackWater, a crypto mining data center that offers Mining-as-a-Service. It helps clients host, manage & maintain mining and make them successful in the Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency markets. BlackWater is expecting a 100 Megawatt plus mining operation by partnering with renewable energy companies to make a change in the crypto mining world.
