Education

Early education was in various local schools due to frequent transfer of his father’s Govt. service. Later he got himself admitted into Jhenaidah Cadet College and passed SSC’05 and HSC’07. He passed MBBS (Bachelor Of Medicine And Surgery) from Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College under Dhaka University. [2]

Career

Now in Govt. service as a medical officer. Besides his clinical practice, he has authored several books which have achieved readers’ appreciation, namely— Double Standard 1-2, Kostipathor 1-2-3 (ie. Touchstone), Qurratu Aiyun 1-2 (ie. cooler of the eyes). two other books on sexology and the islamic concept of slavery are underway. His field of interest is gender, sexology, and western philosophy. Shamsul Arefin mainly focuses on presenting Islam as a worldview and complete code of life. Moreover, he elucidates how Islam is relevant in our day-to-day life in the 21st century, being not only a mere rituals-oriented religion. His writings reveal how Islam dictates the way to solve and avoid problems in every sphere of human life... from self-management to family-society-market-office- state, which proves only Islam can give us the complete soothing life. the failure of western philosophy and civilization and the inevitability of Islam is always evident in his literature.
