Alicon is a third-party Transformer toy made by Impossible Toys in 2012 and is an homage Transformers Allicons.

Alicon is a fictional character created by Impossible Toys and based on the Allicons first seen in The Transformer: The Movie.

Development

Computer renders of Alicon were posted to the internet in January 2012.[1]

Alicon was displayed at TFcon 2012.[2]

Alicon shipped in August 2012.

Reception

The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for January 2nd, 2012 discussed renders of Alicon in the news.[3]

Alicon was featured in the 2013 toy reference book Transforming Collections by Philip Reed.[4]

In the Cybercast podcast for April 6th, 2013 the hosts talked about Impossible Toys Alicon and Tetra Squadron in the news.[5]

Fictional biography

The Alicons were created to be big, brutal and loyal to their masters, the Quint Judges. They exceeded all expectations for what were to be simple guard drones. Now they are the personal body guards and executioners for their masters. Unlike their smaller Sharkbot predecessors, they have earned a reputation of terror that has taken a millennia for the Sharkbots to gain. Not as intelligent as the Sharkbots, the Alicons are easy to control and command. The few drones that ave shown slightly higher intellectual ablities, have been repainted and made into a special Elite Class...

  • Impossible Toys TRNS-03 Alicon (2012)
An original third-party Transformer mold created by Impossible Toys. Truns from robot into monster. The toy was designed by TFW2005 board member Venksta under the restraints of not using any ball joints or pins.[6]
