Jet and tank

Airdancer is a fictional character and third-party Transformer homage to the Generation 1 Autobot Slamdance made by Keith's Fantasy Club in 2013.

Keith's Fantasy Club

Airdancer is a third-party Transformer homage to the Autobot Slamdance. He is made up of two microcassettes that turn into a tank and a jet or combine into a robot.

Development

Concept art of Airdancer was previewed at TFcon 2013's Third Party Panel. Their names were originally parsed Slamtank and Jetdancer.[1]

Airdancer shipped in November 2013.

Reception

The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for July 29th, 2013 discussed the Keith's Fantasy Club Airdancer, Haiku, Evil Ironpaw, Justice Ironpaw, King Rex and Bladeback, Night Stalker, Overslay and Haymaker and Sencho Barbossa in the news.[2]

The Cybercast podcast for October 19th, 2013 discussed Airdancer in the news.[3]

The Retro Robot Radio podcast for October 19th, 2013 covered Jet Dancer images in the news.[4]

The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for October 22nd, 2013 discussed Airdancer in the news. One of the hosts thought they would buy it.[5]

The Cybercast podcast for November 2nd, 2013 discussed Airdancer in the news.[6]

A test shot of Transistor and several of his tape minions were featured in an article in the October 2014 issue of Chi Soul Die (模魂志) magazine.[7]

Fictional biography

Slam Tank

A little known fact about Slam Tank is that he was a wrestler in the pits in the days before the war. He was unbeaten in unarmed grappling, but with the uprising and the popularity of a certain ruthless combatant, the masses lost interest in unarmed combat. During the war he served as a tank, but he soon grew weary of the senseless killing, and offered himself for an upgrade to rid himself of his warlike tank mode. Something went wrong with his formatting, and he was left with his tank but no robot mode.

Jet Dancer

Jet Dancer changed his name and appearance for a whole new identity after eons of ambulance chasing pre-war. An unpopular individual known to record all he witnessed with his in built camera, he also spent many a spare evening chasing after the hot new celebrities for that elusive reveal-all photo. During the war he refused to use his skills for reconnaissance and he felt his title as a neutral photographer would spare him from violence, but he was soon caught in the cross fire and nearly killed.

A new mold by Keith's Fantasy Club.
Slam Tank turns from tank to microcassette and comes with three weapons.
Jet Dancer turns from jet to microcassette and comes with two weapons.
They combine into the humanoid robot Airdancer.
These molds were recolored into Darque Side, Deff Metal, Flashdance and Mega Bolt.
