Aerial Team Appendage Add-On Kit is a third-party Transformer accessory pack made by FansProject in 2009. It is an homage to the 1986 Transformers Autobot Superion toy. In 2013 Collection Kingdom made an unlicensed copy of this set.

FansProject

The Aerial Team Appendage Add-On Kit is a third-party Transformer accessory created by FansProject. It is an homage to the 1986 Transformers Autobot Superion toy.

The accessories in the Aerial Team Appendage Add-On Kit can form weapons intended for for the Energon Superion Maximus toy. It forms part of the combined robot, or add-ons for the individual robots or jet.

Other third-party Transformer homages to the Aerialbots include TFC Toys' F-4 Phantom and F-15 Eagle.

Development

Prototype images of the Aerial Team Appendage Add-On Kit appeared in the internet March 2009.[1]

More images of the Aerial Team Appendage Add-On Kit prototypes appeared in the internet in June 2009.[2]

Box pictures of the Aerial Team Appendage Add-On Kit appeared on the Robot Kingdom web site in July 2009.[3]

The Aerial Team Appendage Add-On Kit was released in July 2009.

In November 2009 TFsource accounced an exclusive recolor of the Aerial Team Appendage Add-On Kit called Snowman, and opened preorders for it.[4]

The Aerial Team Appendage Add-On Kit Snowman was released in December 2009.

Reception

The WTF@TFW podcast for March 12th, 2009 selected the Aerial Team Appendage Add-On Kit as one of the New Picture Picks.[5]

The Radio Free Cybertron podcast for September 23rd, 2009 reviewed in the FansProject Aerial Team Appendage Add-On Kit. They said it was a must-buy for anyone with the Aerialbot toys.[6]

The TFWire podcast for October 24th, 2009 had a segment devoted FansProject. The hosts thought the Aerial Team Appendage Add-On Kit was good but cost too much.[7]

A new mold meant to be added to the Energon Superion Maximus toy, although it fits on any toy that shares his mold.

A white recolor of the initial release. The box for this release is identical to the original release, except for a sticker added to one corner. Includes a comic story called "Zero Hour" featuring Defender.
