"AU(Asgard Unit)-001 Aether" is the name given to the MSXX-002, the first mobile suit piloted by Melissa Reäger, the main protagonist of The . An experimental MS developed by the United States Armed Forces, the Aether was discovered and is now piloted by Melissa, serving as her primary means of defense against Nadine Yggdras.

Technology and Combat Characteristics

In its normal state, the Moonflash has rather limited combat capabilities. Only when the suit's Overdrive System is activated can the suit's full power be displayed. Its armor, composed of Yggdrasil Titanium, while durable, can be damaged or even destroyed with sufficient force, rendering the suit especially susceptible to kinetic weaponry. The suit is also equipped with thrusters, allowing it to fly at high speeds.

The Moonflash is quite powerful, especially in the "Hypermoon" stage, enabling it to engage and instantly destroy any MS in its vicinity, with the (possible) exception of the MU-000 Naglfar, with the deadly Moonlight Butterfly.

Two miniature "weaponized particle accelerators(WPAs)", these are the Aether's.

• Dragon Wrath

An extremely powerful weapon consisting of a modified I-field generator, which emits a large beam of energy in the form of a pair of bird-like wings.
