Swami Ram Govind Das embarked on his spiritual journey at the tender age of 15, drawing inspiration from the revered sages of India. Under the guidance of the ascetic Swami Dwarka Yati in Haldwani, he set out for Punjab, where he commenced his mission of disseminating the teachings of the sacred scriptures and instilling the values of compassion and altruism in society. At 21, he left his hometown of Dhuri, Punjab, to undertake a profound pilgrimage, traversing the length and breadth of India. His spiritual odyssey took him to the Martand Surya temple in Kashmir, Kanyakumari, the Rann of Kutch, and Arunachal, including visits to the four dhams, twelve jyotirlingas, four Sarovars, the origins of seven sacred rivers, seven puris, numerous sacred mountains, multiple shakti peethams, Sri Kailash Mansarovar, Tapovan Gaumukh, Muktinath, Angkor Wat, and various other places of worship across the globe.

During a pilgrimage in 2003 at Rishikesh, Swami Ram Govind Das had the profound fortune of meeting Swami Ramsukhdas Ji Maharaj, a revered saint of India. At that juncture, Swami Ji Maharaj bestowed upon him the name Ramgovind Das. Notably, Swami Ji Maharaj, then a centenarian, imparted to him the divine wisdom contained in the Srimad Bhagawad Gita and guided him on the path of devotion. After Swami Ji Maharaj's earthly departure in 2005, Ram Govind Das returned to his birthplace and established a spiritual organization known as Hari Sharranam Jun, dedicated to the path of surrender in attaining divinity. Further enriching his spiritual knowledge, he received teachings on the Srimad Bhagwatam from the esteemed Ramanuji saint Swami Pundrikashk Ji Maharaj.[3]

Hari Sharranam Jun

In addition to organizing large religious gatherings, the organization has been actively involved in providing essential support to underprivileged communities, particularly in the areas of healthcare and education.
