Early life and education

Ahmed Alengebawy (أحمد الإنجباوى) is an Egytian Researcher, born on 3 December 1992. Currently, he is doing his research at the College of Engineering, Huazhong Agricultural University, China. His current research interests are Bioenergy and Environmental Engineering, focusing on anaerobic digestion, biomass valorization, waste management, nutrient recovery, and life cycle assessment. He published several peer-reviewed papers in the field of Bioenergy and Environmental Engineering. He also is a Member of the International Society for Energy and Sustainability Research (ISESR) and the Hong Kong Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (HKCBEES).

Career

After completing his bachelor's degree in Egypt, Alengebawy did his Master's studies at the College of Engineering, Huazhong Agricultural University, China. During his master's study, he was awarded a fully-funded grant as an exchange student in the Master's program at the University of South-Eastern Norway, gaining international and cross-cultural experience. Following that, he joined the College of Engineering, Huazhong Agricultural University again as a PhD Candidate in the field of Bioenergy and Environmental Engineering.

Research

Ahmed Alengebawy is doing his research in bioenergy and environmental engineering, focusing on anaerobic digestion, biomass valorization, waste management, nutrient recovery, and life cycle assessment. He is mainly focused on sustainable approaches to energy systems aligned with the comprehensive evaluation of environmental impacts. Moreover, he is always seeking new frontiers in sustainability. Alengebawy is also an Editorial Board Member of several scientific journals, e.g., Journal of Energy Conservation (ISSN: 2642-3146), Journal of Water (ISSN: 2769-2264), and Probe - Soil Science Journal (ISSN: 2661-3999). Furthermore, he acted as a Peer Reviewer for several well-reputed journals, such as Chemical Engineering Journal, Chemosphere, Science of the Total Environment, and Environmental Research Letters.
