Babai Sen (born 29 April 1990) is an Indian film director and screenwriter in Bengali cinema. His films incorporated elements like lesbianism and x determination that had not been depicted in Bengali television productions before.

Multiple Award winner Director, Babai Sen is known for making films that explore various aspects Love story, like Shiuli (2023), which deals with a Childhood relationship, and Brutta (2021), which examines transgender identity Chup (2020), an LGBTQ Movie. Recently complete features frame Gondogol (2023) This is the mature comedy love story.

Early Life

Babai Sen was born in Kolkata on 29 April 1990. His father is Medium Class Business man Anjan Sen. Mr.Sen received the National Award for Yoga in 2017 and has won many awards since his childhood in Yoga. While at university, he started a theatre troupe with his future wife Producer Susmita Sen adhikary. In 2020, Mr.Sen began working as a screenwriter for Tollywood films.In 2021, he moved to Star Jalsha to direct non-fiction like Ati rahegai bahara. These telefilms incorporated elements like lesbianism and determination that had not been depicted in Bengali television productions before.

Marriage and children

Sen married to film producer Susmita Sen adhikary. They have a daughter - Arshi Sen.

Education

Mr. Sen attended Kolkata Bio Chemic Medical College, (Kolkata medical College ) and later IHM Bangalore.

Career

Babai Sen began working as a screenwriter for Tollywood films.In 2021, he moved to Star Jalsha to direct non-fiction like Ati rahegai bahara.
