Mildred Hall, the first public school teacher in the NWT, and her students, outside her small one-room schoolhouse.[1]
Mildred Hall was one of the first public school teachers in the Northwest Territories, and a school in Yellowknife is named after her.[1] In 1939 Hall became the first teacher in Yellowknife's first school, a one room school so small her first twenty students had two sittings.
