Engelbert Sonneborn (born February 9, 1938) is a German retired career counselor, who was independent candidate at the 2017 German presidential election. He was supported by the Pirate Party Germany and the Die PARTEI and received 0.79% of the electoral vote. His son is the German politician and Member of the European Parliament Martin Sonneborn.[1]
