MeridianBet Poker[1] is an adaptation of the famous Texas Holdem Poker, developed by Meridian Gaming Ltd, operating under the trade name Meridianbet, in partnership with Playtech. The game is played with a standard deck of 52 cards[2].

Feature Game Info
Producer Meridianbet
Type Card Game
Number of Cards 52 (Standard Deck)
Duration Varies (Typically 5 minutes)

The Basics

Deck: The game uses a standard deck of 52 cards.

Dealer Button: This is an item that rotates around the table clockwise and indicates from which player the card distribution will start. It plays a pivotal role in determining the gameplay sequence.

Betting Game Play

Before each hand begins, two players must place the Small Blind (SM) and Big Blind (BB) bets.

Antepost Bet: This is an additional bet that all players might be required to place before the start of a hand in specific games, provided it's predetermined.

Card Distribution & Gameplay

The game begins with the dealer distributing cards. Each player receives two cards

Flop: After the initial round of betting, the dealer lays out the first three community cards on the board, known as the "Flop."

Turn: Following another round of betting after the Flop, the dealer reveals a fourth community card called the "Turn."

River: After yet another round of betting post the Turn, the dealer discloses the fifth and final community card, termed as the "River."

Betting Actions: During each betting round, players have the option to:

Check: Decline to bet, passing the action to the next player.

Bet: Place a wager.

Raise: Increase the current bet.

Re-raise: Raise the bet after an initial raise has already been made.

Fold: Discard one's hand and forfeit interest in the current pot.

Showdown: After all betting rounds are concluded and if more than one player remains, there is a showdown. Players reveal their hands, and the player with the best five-card combination wins the pot.

Hand Rankings

The objective is for each player to form the best possible five-card combination using their two hole cards and the five community cards on the board. The strength of hands in Texas Hold'em, from highest to lowest, is as follows:

Royal Flush: A sequence of the top five cards (Ace through 10) of the same suit.

Straight Flush: Any five consecutive cards of the same suit, but not the highest cards.

Four of a Kind (Poker): Four cards of the same rank.

Full House: A combination of a pair and a three-of-a kind (trilling).

Flush: Any five cards of the same suit, not in sequence.

Straight: Five consecutive cards of any suit.

Three of a Kind (Trilling): Three cards of the same rank.

Two Pair: Two cards of one rank paired with two cards of another rank.

Pair: Two cards of the same rank.

High Card: If no player has any of the above combinations, the highest card determines the winner. Ace is the highest, and 2 is the lowest. If multiple players share the same high card, the pot is split.
