Impossible Toys

Quint-02 is based on the Quintesson scientist Inquirata.

According to his tech specs, Quint-02 is incredibly intelligent and skilled. He's also very fast and packs impressive firepower. His strength is slightly below normal.

Development

Preorders for Quint-02 went up in November 2007.[1]

Reception

Quint-02 was featured in the 2013 toy reference book Transforming Collections by Philip Reed.[2]

In January 2015 Machinema announced they had completed script writing for the Transformers: Combiner Wars series together with some behind-the-scenes photos, which showed Impossible Toys Quint-01. Quint-02 and Quint-03 in their collection.[3]

Fictional biography

The Quintesson Scientist is supported by a propulsion column with a light-up feature. The Scientist is distinguished by a large and ornate cranial housing, and an elongated face constructed to present a pompous, condescending countenance. The Scientist is equipped with side-mounted clusters of dark green tentacles as well as a base-aligned ring of longer, thinner tendrils. Having created Autobots and Decepticons as servitor races, the Quintessons were defeated by their creations, expelled from Cybertron, and forced to colonize the much less grandiose planet of Quintessa. Consequently the Quintessons are now disgruntled, and are forced to entertain themselves with mock trials, petty cruelties, bizarre experimentations and attempted subterfuges.
