Development

The design for Overslay was done by Eagle's TF for Keith's Fantasy Club. His biography was written by C Z Hazard.

Concept art of Overslay and Haymaker was previewed at TFcon 2013's Third Party Panel.[1] They were scheduled to ship in October 2013.

In December 2013 Keith's Fantasy Club released box images of Overslay and Haymaker on their Facebook page and said they expected them to ship in January 2014.

Release of Overslay and Haymaker was delayed while quality issues with Overslay were fixed.

Color test shots of Overslay were released online in August 2014.

Fictional biography

Killing is his business... and business is good. One of the deadliest of all the cassettes, this RoCon definitely has earned his name. Capable of taking down a small squadron all on his own... than is when his size modulator works. In a recent bid to fix his chip, Overslay gained the ability to transform into a tiny T-rex and an oversized cassette mode as well as his other modes. He has yet to find a for his giant cassette mode or his tiny dinosaur hands.

Fiction

Overslay appears in the Citizen Stack pack-in comic story I Can Deal With This Now!. Citizen Stack and Krank free Overslay and others from the Sky Pirates prison.[7]

Overslay appears in the Doubledeck pack-in comic story They Pull Me Back In as one of the cassette minions of Transistor.
