HelloGold Sdn Bhd, also known as HelloGold, is a fintech investment company headquartered in Malaysia. The company follows Sharia-compliant finance standards which is a banking or activity that complies with sharia (Islamic law).[2]

HelloGold is reportedly the world's first shariah-compliant gold savings and investment platform, and was founded to offer financial products to consumers in emerging economies.[3][4]

History

HelloGold was founded in 2015 by Robin Lee and Ridwan Abdullah.[5] Robin is the former CFO of World Gold Council. HelloGold became the World’s First Shariah Compliant Gold Savings company, endorsed by the Shariah Supervisory Board of Amanie Advisors in 2016.[3][6]

HelloGold provides a sharia-compliant certified mobile application for buying and selling gold online.[7][8]

In 2018, HelloGold participated in Thailand's regional D-NEXT accelerator program.[9][10]

Funding

HelloGold is funded by a number of investors including 500 Startups and Dani investors.[11] The company closed its series A funding at $12 million with Dani Sdn Bhd.[12]
