Yukikaze is a member of the Trainbots from the Transformers franchise who transforms into a 200 Series Shinkansen and is regarded as the younger "brother" of Shouki.

History

Generation 1

Animated series

Like his teammates, Yukikaze was not featured in the American series The Transformers, but appeared in it's Japan-exclusive continuation Transformers: The Headmasters. He and the other Trainbots hailed from Japan in-series, and often served as transportation for the other Autobots, as well as fighting Decepticons as both an individual and as part of their combined form, Raiden.

Fun Publications

"Ask Vector Prime" revealed that Yukikaze received his name from Dr. Haruma Gō, the youngest member of the Japanese team of scientist responsible for their creation. Gō, who had created the superstructures for the team, named Yukikaze in honor of the winds of Hokkaido. [1]
