Tigris is a fictional character and third-party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Rampage made by Mastermind Creations in 2014.

Mastermind Creations

Tigris is a third-party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Rampage created by Mastermind Creations.

Tigris is part of a combiner team who become Feral Rex.

Other third-party homages to Rampage include TFC Toys Phlogeus and Unique Toys Violence.

Development

The Feral Rex combiner was designed by Cassy Sark for Mastermind Creations, then revised by Eric Chan.[1]

A teaser image of Tigris was displayed at the third-party panel at TFcon 2012.[2].

The Tigris prototype was displayed at the Captured Prey Third Party at Botcon in June 2013.[3]

Art of Tigris was previewed at TFcon 2013's Third Party Panel.[4]

Tigris went up for preorder in March 2014.

Tigris was released in September 2014.

Reception

In the Radio Free Cybertron podcast for January 30th, 2013 pictures of the combined form of Feral Rex were part of their Third Party Roundup.[5]

In the TF Beyond podcast for February 7th, 2013 Feral Rex was covered as a topic.[6]

The WTF@TFW podcast for April 4th, 2013 selected color pictures of Feral Rex as one of the New Picture Picks. They mentioned Sixer and the April Fool's joke by Mastermind Creations.[7]

In the moonbase2 podcast for April 10th, 2013 Feral Rex, Sixer and Azalea were one of the topic discussed.[8]

In the Fwooshcast podcast for April 23rd, 2013 the hosts talked about images of Feral Rex.[9]

The WTF@TFW podcast for May 10th, 2013 selected prototype pictures of Tigris and Feral Rex as one of the New Picture Picks.[10]

An original mold by Mastermind Creations. Turns from humanoid robot to robotic tiger. Combines with the other Ferocicons to form Feral Rex. His sword combines with the other weapons of the Ferocicons to become a giant sword.
