The Omnicons are an Autobot-aligned faction from the Transformers series.
History
Unicron Trilogy
Animated series
Originally inhabitants of Cybertron, the Omnicons later fled the planet when the Great War became too intense. Created with the ability to handle raw Energon and shape it into various forms, they were eventually found by and allied with the Autobots, who sought to protect them and allow them to ply their skills in peace.
Fun Publications
"Ask Vector Prime" revealed that in one universe, the Omnicons remained on Cybertron and fought under Rodimus' command against Megatron's Decepticons and a ruthless Optimus Prime's Autobots. The three way conflict later saw the addition of Megazarak and his Destructicons, who aided the Decepticons in eliminating Optimus and Rodimus' forces before turning on their "allies."
