Lil Ackson is a famous Rapper who was born on July 21, 2000 in Newark, United States. American hip-hop recording artist who is best known for the 2019 singles “Respect” and “Ups & Downs.” He has built a fan base of more then 30,000 thousand followers on his @xolilackson Instagram account. Known professionally as Lil Ackson (Jackson Montero) is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Harrison, New Jersey. He is best known for his songs “Ups & Downs” & “Respect.” His single “Respect” is considered Lil Ackson’s breakout, which garnered even further attention after the rapper was charged with 2 counts of unlawful possession of a weapon. He released his debut album, Songs About You, on March 1, 2019.[1]

Early life

Lil Ackson was born on July 21, 2000, in Newark, New Jersey to father Victor Montero and mother Lupita Cortez. He is the 3rd child out of 3. Montero was raised by his single mother. He grew up listening to Lil Wayne and Akon. Lil Ackson later began listening to Wiz Khalifa and Sean Kingston, who he says inspired him to flow with love trap songs.[2]

Education

Lil Ackson Attended Harrison High School (New Jersey) He loved to play soccer and played for his high school until his junior year. Senior year came along and he decided to quit and focus on his future.

Early career

Lil Ackson stated he fell in love at the perfect moment because the situation that led to his heartbreak, made him start creating music. In an interview, Lil Ackson said “One of my exes is the reason I started making music, she motivated me to do a song and it worked. It was a couple of songs that flopped but I made it work into my success.”[3]

Music

Lil Ackson begang putting his music on Soundcloud in 2018. He released an ep “Fake Love” including songs like “Clout”, “You & Me” and “Heartbreak Summer.” Which he would take off his Soundcloud account once his First Album “Songs About You” released in 2019.[4]

Albums

Later in 2020 Lil Ackson releases his second album “Lil Ackson Vs. The World.” Which featured artist like “Danny Ocean”, and “Lil Reed” which accumulated more then 100,000 streams on all Music Platforms. In 2021, Lil Ackson announced on his Instagram story (@xolilackson) he had a collaboration with NJ Rapper Skinnyfromthe9 as well. Later that year Lil Ackson releases singles including “Brother Luv”, “Letter To My G Queen” and “Path Pains.”[5]

Lil Ackson is a cancer & his networth/relationship is unknown. He is 6 feet 3 inches tall. He used to play soccer.

Controversy

In March 2019, he was arrested and charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and faced 10–15 years in prison. He was also a suspect in a 2020 Felony Assault & Battery Penalty to a civilian in Kearny, New Jersey. In March 2019, Montero pleaded not guilty to the gun charges and had a trial in July 2019.
