BrOOMstick is a fictional character and third-party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Fracas made by MasterShooter Collectibles in 2013.

MasterShooter Collectibles

BrOOMstick is a fictional character created by MasterShooter Collectibles as a third-party Transformer homage to Fracas, the Targetmaster partner to the Decepticon Scourge.

The name BrOOMstick is a play on the nickname the character Ash gave his Remington shotgun in the film Army of Darkness.

Development

MasterShooter Collectibles released concept images of their first four Shooter Masters in September 2011.[1] BrOOMstick was known as "Minute Bot".

In October 2011 prototype pictures of the first four Shooter Masters were posted to their Facebook page.[2]

In January 2012 the first four Shooter Masters went up for pre order at Big Bad Toy Store.[3]

The four original Shooter Masters were originally scheduled for release in the 4th quarter of 2012.

In March 2013 MasterShooter Collectibles put in-package pictures of their first four Shooter Masters on their Facebook page.[4]

BrOOMstick shipped in April 2013.

Reception

The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for September 12th, 2011 discussed renders of Bolt-Action, BrOOMstick, Minute-Bot and Shot-Piece in the news.[5]

The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for October 25th, 2011 discussed prototypes pictures of Bolt-Action, BrOOMstick, Minute-Bot and Shot-Piece in the news.[6]

The Radio Free Cybertron podcast for March 31st, 2013 discussed in package images of Bolt-Action, BrOOMstick, Minute-Bot and Shot-Piece as part of their Third Party Roundup.[7]

Fictional biography

BrOOMstick vowed to retrieve the ruby skid plates that were scavenged by the resident of the building that fell on his last partner. On his journey, he was possessed by an evil spirit from an old book. Victory was won, even though it cost him his hand. He eventually built a prosthetic, but still likes to wield the chainsaw that he had used in the interim. He has now teamed up with the Sweepers who serve the Deceptive Constructs. The new partnership seems to have distracted him from his vow, for now.

Toys

  • MasterShooter Collectibles Shooter Master BrOOMstick (2013)
BrOOMstick is an original third-party Transformer mold, although he shares his basic design with several other MasterShooter toys. Transforms from robot to gun. He comes with a chainsaw accessory that can be held in either hand.
BrOOMstick is intended to be paired with the Generations Scourge toy. In vehicle mode BrOOMstick can mount with the 3mm c-clip to Scourge's head-gun. In robot mode it can use the same head mount or be held in either hand.
