Altitude is a fictional character from the G.I. Joe series. He is a member of the Sky Patrol.

Fictional biography

Altitude's real name is John Edwards Jones. He is a full-blooded Apache. He joins the military after his budding artistic career is cut short by the collapse of the syndicated cartoon industry. Altitude utilizes his photographic memory and drawing skills to bring back intelligence as a recon scout.[1]

Devil's Due Publishing

Altitude appeared in the Devil's Due G.I. Joe series. He is part of the assault team sent to Cobra Island to destroy the forces of the revived Serpentor.[2]

Animated series

DiC

Altitude appeared in the DiC G.I. Joe cartoon series.

Altitude had speaking appearances in the episodes The Mind Mangler and BIOK.[3]

Toys

Altitude was first released as an action figure in 1990, as part of the Sky Patrol line. The figure comes with a silver helmet (indented with visor pegs), a gold visor (shieldlike), a dark green backpack (84 Parachute Pack) with silver parachute, a black rocket pistol (two-piece), and a black rocket.
